Commercial/Residential Products Fabricator

Scope of Position:Performs a wide variety of duties to set up and operate sheet metal equipment following standard operating practices and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Sets up, maintains, and operates various sheet metal fabricating machinery, including but not limited to a Roll Former, Fin Press Expanding, Shear, Press Brake, Tube Flare; Cut Off Saw and/or Amada/N/C Turret Punch PressPerforms various production duties from Work Orders, Part Prints, Standard Setup Procedures, Quality, and OJT manualsUtilizes and maintains calipers, rules, combination square, protractor, veneer, feeder gauges, hand tools, wrenches, micrometers, hex keys, and other similar toolsRemoves and inspects finished products for compliance to specifications, reports defects to supervision, and makes machine adjustments as directedUses lift and/or platform trucks to move supplied and finished products to  various plant locationsMaintains required production, safety, and other records and dataInspects and reports defective and unsafe machinery/parts to supervisionWears and maintains safety equipment and obeys safety rules, practices, and proceduresMaintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe mannerPerforms other similar or related duties as required or requestedPosition Requirements:High School Diploma or GED preferredPrior manufacturing experience a plusAbility to read, write, and follow both verbal and written work ordersFamiliarity with hand, air, and packing toolsAbility to operate hoists, hand trucks, and platform trucks as necessaryAbility to lift 50 pounds unassisted and 100+ pounds in a team lifting situationAbility to perform repetitive bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, twisting, pushing, and pulling
