Preconstruction Manager

Position Purpose:The Preconstruction Manager provides cost estimating on capital projects; develops project scopes and budgets; provides procurement project management for implementation of approved capital design and construction projects; provides design & construction guidance, support and oversight on corporate development projects. The position will review plans and specifications with architects, contractors, subcontractors and vendors. Responsibilities & Tasks:Works with Development and Operations to identify and quantify project objectives and scope.Prepares conceptual estimates for Capital and Infrastructure projects.Manages design consultants, owner consultants, contractors and vendors through the pre-construction and buyout of construction milestones.Assists in the required regulatory notifications and impact regarding project costs and schedules.Analyze estimates and quotes from general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.Provides procurement management on capital projects.Assesses materials, labor and equipment required for a construction project to determine preferred scope of work is determined for stated project goals.Position must sit at our office in Birmingham, Alabama. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Supply Chain Management preferred Minimum of 5 years in the construction or supply chain field with strong emphasis in preconstruction, estimating, and project management.Healthcare experience preferred.
