Driving School InstructorJoin AAA Driving School as a Full-Time Driver Training Instructor!Make a meaningful impact by helping create safer roads in your community. AAA is hiring full-time Driver Training Instructors to join our dedicated Driving School team. In this role, you'll teach safe driving techniques to students of all ages and experience levels, foster a positive learning environment, and apply your knowledge of state driving laws with patience and professionalism.Hourly Pay: $24.50/hour - $26.00/hourSign-On Bonus (External Candidates Only): $2,000 for non-licensed instructors or $3,000 for licensed California Driving InstructorsSchedule: 40 hours/week. Weekdays: Start between 11:30am-1:00pm, work an 8-hour/shift. Weekends: Minimum one day, starting as early as 7:00am for an 8-hour shift.Company Vehicle Provided: all fuel, maintenance, and insurance fully coveredPaid Licensing & TrainingGrowth & Advancement OpportunitiesWhat You'll DoDeliver behind-the-wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels, following AAA's curriculum and training standardsUse our driving school software to track and manage student progressAssess student performance and provide personalized guidanceStay current on safe and defensive driving practices and maintain all required state documentationTravel within a 50-mile radius as needed; a company vehicle with paid gas, maintenance, and insurance is providedWhat You'll BringExperience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industryConfidence working with the public, especially teensA strong commitment to promoting safe driving habitsFlexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend dayPhysical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25lbsMust be capable of safely assuming control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with a clean driving recordMinimum of 5 years of driving experienceMust obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV-required physical examMust successfully complete a background check and drug screening The starting pay range for this position is $24.50 - $26.00 per hour.
