About the Role: The Materials Logistics Coordinator is responsible for inventory accuracy and the incoming and outgoing flow of materials for various construction projects, ensuring 5S and Lean Principals are being met. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities. Essential FunctionsEstablish daily schedules and plans and prioritize materials to meet internal and external customer requirementsSupport Project teams with changing needsEnsure all incoming materials are inspected correct, received in a timely manner and placed in the appropriate locationsEstablish guidelines and train employees on proper handling, loading, and unloading techniques for product transportReview all shipments and work with other departments to ensure on-time and accurate deliveriesSchedule work for special and periodic inventory including cycle counting and year endIdentify the lowest cost suppliers and material sources from high quality and reliable vendorsInvestigate nontraditional sources for material to drive down purchasing costsNegotiate the best possible pricing and payment terms for all vendorsRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedssential functions of the position are to be performed at a Company designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards About You: QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is requiredTechnical or trade school coursework or training is preferred2 years of experience in materials management role2 Years of electrical construction trade experience1 to 2 years of experience in construction industry preferredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft applicationsProficiency in MS Office SuiteStrong commitment to safetyExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapportExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong leadership and team building skillsSelf-starter who is comfortable in an autonomous environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsSalary $48,000-$65,000 / yearCommensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
