POSITION TITLEParalegal, Litigation Support POSITION LOCATIONRichmond, VA YOUR ROLEGenworth is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to join our Legal Department, focusing on litigation support. This role will assist attorneys in managing litigation matters, including discovery liaising and direction, case deadline tracking and coordination with external counsel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.What you will be doingSupport litigation attorneys in managing active litigation matters, including case tracking and documentationServe as key point-person for discovery processes, including document collection, review and productionCoordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses to inquiriesMaintain litigation files and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentialityMonitor court deadlines and ensure timely filingsAssist in preparing witnesses and exhibits for depositions, hearing and trialsSupport internal investigations and regulatory inquiries as neededProcess and route subpoenas and demandsProvide all administrative support functions for litigation teamCoordinate with other paralegals and administrative assistants as necessaryParticipate in process improvement initiatives within the Legal DepartmentPerform tasks as necessaryWhat you bringMinimum of 5 years of experience in litigation support or legal operationsExtensive discovery and document-production experience, including relevant platformsStrong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules and legal terminologyProficiency in document management systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentialityNice to haveParalegal certificationExperience in a corporate or law firm setting Employee Benefits & Well-BeingGenworth employees make a difference in people’s lives every day.
