Job Title: Addiction Therapist SeniorDepartment: Outpatient Mental Health                     Location: Genesee Mental Health Center                           Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: M-F, 8:30 AM -5:00 PM                                       SUMMARY:The Senior Addiction Therapist performs all of the functions of the Addiction Therapist, and in addition provides exemplary clinical care in support of people with severe substance use disorders and has achieved competencies in treating those who are at highest risk. The Senior Addiction Therapist is also responsible for leading other clinicians in their development of evidence based practices through mentoring and training as well. RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides initial and ongoing assessment for clients in order to determine diagnosis and appropriate level of care. Provides individual, family and group counseling, which engages and motivates clients throughout treatment.Develops treatment plans that are individualized and culturally sensitive.Communicates with other care providers and referral sources to increase understanding of client problems and assets. Participates in professional supervision and education that supports continuous improvement of client care.Completes required medical record documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner and in accordance with regulatory standards. Meets productivity requirements by utilizing various techniques to engage clients and minimize failed appointments.Participates as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team in coordination and delivery of patient care. Provides supervision and training to interns.Supports and demonstrates competency in person-centered care practices and workflowsMeets and exceeds productivity targetsDemonstrates sound clinical judgement and can work independentlyResponsible for reviews and QHP signatures for various clinic workflows per OASAS scope of practiceSupports clinical and process training and onboarding for Addiction Therapists and Associate Addiction Therapists Demonstrates competency the delivery more complex care, Co-occurring disorders, and high risk response and managementFacilitates group supervisionTeam lead in debriefing groups, clinical support groups, and staffing meetingsCommitted to continuous improvement and personal developmentREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s Degree in Human Services field OR Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field CASAC or OASAS QHP requiredEDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: QHP - Qualified Health Professional - NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. PAY RANGE:$64,000.00 - $82,000.00CITY:RochesterPOSTAL CODE:14607The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
