Pay Range: MT: $37.68/hour MT1: $41.82/hour MT2: $44.78/hour MT3: $47.79/hour  The opportunity:We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician located in Solvay, NY.  This Maintenance Technician position inspects, tests, repairs, installs, and maintains industrial equipment and the facility in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.  This facility is operated as a team concept mill and all individuals are given the opportunity to work to their full potential. This job description does not in any way limit the responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician position. How you will impact WestRock: Effective interpersonal and team skills  Ability to plan, organize, and execute work for both individual and small group effort Utilizing multi-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and training   Understanding of mill equipment and processes Computer literate Effective trouble-shooter within area of expertise Possess initiative; attention to detail; follow-through Fifty pounds lifting capability; normal hearing/vision with correction; ability to climb stairs and catwalks Minimum:  high school diploma; journey level; or trade school and equivalent experience (5 years industrial experience) What you need to succeed:  High School Diploma / GED is required Journeyman Certificate, and/or vocational/technical training preferred.
