Truck Driver

About the Role: The Truck Driver is a CDL Class A driving position that is responsible for driving materials and equipment to project locations which are subject to cross state lines and may require overnight stays. This position requires a valid CDL Class licensure, as well as the ability to be insured under Company policy. Company OverviewSince 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider. Sturgeon Electric’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) construction division provides a full range of capabilities related to  transmission, distribution, substation, and clean energy construction. Essential FunctionsResponsible for transporting tools and materials to various project locationsOvernight stays may be required, depending on where the delivery is locatedMay be required to load or unload truck and/or trailers; may be assisted by a helperRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards About You: QualificationsMinimum 2 years of 'over-the-road' driving experienceMinimum 1 year of experience in hauling heavy machineryHigh school diploma or GED is requiredMust be able to drive across state lines in compliance with all applicable CDL regulationsKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesMust possess and maintain a valid CDL Class Driver's LicenseMust be able to drive a manual (stick shift) vehicleMust be able to operate vehicles with air brakesMust have ability to operate a stake bed with a lift gateHeavy lifting is required What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsEligibility: You will become initially eligible on the first day of the benefit month corresponding to the eligibility month in which you first accumulate at least 125 credited hours.  with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidateTemporary or Part-time positions are not eligible for company benefits.Temporary or Part-time employees do not receive holiday pay.The position is planned for approximately 20-30 hours per week     This position will remain posted for a minimum of three days.
