Description The ESA V program is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, as well as IT Infrastructure Operations and Engineering support.Leidos is hiring a Senior Linux System Administrator to provide on-site support in Fairfax, VA at the customer enterprise data center. to users within the Department of Justice. This position requires a current active Secret clearance.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team, performing high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex Red Hat systems supporting applications that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills. Performs all duties of Red Hat administration including installation, configuration, securing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at an engineering solution. Prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs as needed to record results. Prepares and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order. Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with 12+ years’ experience as a Unix System Administrator – Operational experience with RHEL8 and RHEL9. High school diploma with additional years’ experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Must have Active Secret security clearanceMust have Active Secret security clearance 3+ years deploying Unix in secured environments, i.e., DISA3+ years using, updating and maintaining Red Hat SatelliteDocumenting system processes for Unix environmentsHW experience: Knowledge of Dell Servers, iDRAC, VMWare, AWS and AzureSW experience: Operating Systems: RHEL8 and RHEL 9Red Hat Satellite Server and Red Hat PCS ClusteringExperience with running Red Hat systems with SELINUX in “enforcing” modeExperience with configuring PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) on RHEL to enable 2-factor authentication via RSA and/or Active DirectoryProficiency in developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for system automationPreferred QualificationsVMWare AwareAzure AwareAWS AwareExperience with RHEL 10Experience with Ansible Automation PlatformExperience with the File Access Policy Daemon (fapolicyd) ServiceDISA environment hardening experienceDocker/ContainersServiceNow experienceComplex KornShell (ksh) or bash scriptingAbility to apply user requirements to the analysis, planning, and design of technology systems.Ability to communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to the Government Lead.Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.Ability to work closely with others in a team environmentAbility to interface with all customer levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
