Master Service Technician (A-Tech)- Heavy Equipment Location: Asheville, NC- Relocation support is available for qualified candidatesSalary: $30-$35- Commensurate with experienceAbout the RoleWe’re seeking a Master Service Technician (A-Tech) to join our high-performing service team in Asheville. As the most senior technical expert in the shop, you’ll take the lead on diagnostics, complex repairs, and mentoring junior technicians. You’ll work primarily on Bobcat equipment — including skid steers, excavators, and loaders — performing advanced troubleshooting and full rebuilds of hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems.This role is ideal for a seasoned technician who enjoys autonomy, values craftsmanship, and wants to work in a steady shop environment where their expertise truly matters. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates looking to make a move to one of the Southeast’s most livable cities.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced diagnostics and in-depth electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs on Bobcat and other compact heavy equipmentConduct complete system troubleshooting using manufacturer tools and softwareHandle a wide range of service needs, from preventative maintenance to major overhauls and rebuildsProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced techniciansEnsure all work meets or exceeds safety and quality standardsSupport shop efficiency by identifying process improvements and maintaining a clean, organized workspaceQualifications5–10+ years of experience as a heavy equipment or diesel technician (Bobcat, Caterpillar, John Deere, or similar)Master-level proficiency in diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel repair theoryProven ability to perform complex troubleshooting and complete all types of repairs independentlyExperience working with compact construction equipment preferred; strong truck or diesel shop background also consideredStrong commitment to safety, communication, and teamworkWhat We OfferCompetitive pay with flexibility based on experience and performanceFlat-rate relocation assistance available for qualified hires, including support in securing housing within commuting rangePTO structure that rewards tenure — experienced hires may qualify for advanced vacation accrual starting day oneComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement optionsOngoing technical training and factory certification opportunitiesA supportive, collaborative shop culture focused on quality, respect, and long-term stability
