Data/Database Engineer - Python, PL/SQL, Jenkins and Test automation frameworks Location: Durham, NC - primary Open Yes - MMK, NH 12 months assignment - potential extension Must have's: - 7+ years as Data Engineer (** will consider 5 years really strong type) -Hands-on experience and expertise as a database engineer and proficiency in Python and PL/SQL programming -Experience with pipeline automation tools such as Jenkins Core, uDeploy, and GitHub Actions -Expertise with Test Automation Tools and Frameworks e.g. Karate, Cypress, Mockito -Solid understanding of cloud engineering design principles & patterns -Technical knowledge of CloudFormation, YML, GitHub, Artifactory, CloudWatch, and Datadog Nice to Have's: -ML & AI – LLM (bootcamp or more is ok) I nterview process: 2 Rounds 1st round - Interview with hiring manager 2nd round - panel DB Automation Engineer   The Role  Are you passionate about technology, database platforms, and providing automated solutions? Do you want to work on innovative database technology platform solutions that provide data to all our Asset Management business partners? We are looking to hire a database automation engineer who is passionate about driving automation within our database technology organization in a public cloud environment.    As a Database Automation Engineer in the Asset Management Database Engineering and Automation team, you will be the team’s technical domain expert for driving engineering excellence, automating the deployments and database processes in a variety of database technology platforms in AWS which adhere to the enterprise AWS deployment standards.  This is a hands-on technical database automation engineering role that requires strong technical skills and knowledge of cloud database automation tools and patterns for deployment, provisioning, encryption, security, administration, and data protection.    The Expertise and Skills You Bring Hands-on experience and expertise as a database engineer and proficiency in Python and PL/SQL programming  Experience with pipeline automation tools such as Jenkins Core, uDeploy, and GitHub Actions  Expertise with Test Automation Tools and Frameworks e.g. Karate, Cypress, Mockito  Demonstrated expertise in documenting and adhering to strong database engineering excellence practices  Solid understanding of cloud engineering design principles & patterns  Technical knowledge of CloudFormation, YML, GitHub, Artifactory, CloudWatch, and Datadog  Hands on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment  Cloud Certifications in AWS   Your passion for learning new cloud and database technologies  Prior experience working in Agile software development environments  Experience working in globally distributed teams  Your strong dedication to high quality standards for your code  Your excellent verbal and written communication skills  Strong analytical skills enabling you to research independently, challenge, verify data, and ultimately provide recommendations and requirements for technical solutions    If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
