Overview: Lead Appliance Install Driver Monday - FridayService Area: Columbia, SC OverviewThis is no desk job. The Lead Appliance Install Driver position has the primary responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day AW warehousing and installation activities in the field. In the installer portion your role your days will be active, delivering and installing laundry to a variety of places in your assigned service area. This position will have a constant change of scenery, engage with clients and consumers daily. This position is primarily Monday – Friday, 7am until. QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentValid Driver's LicenseMust be 21 years of age or older.Basic Plumbing and Electrical knowledgeAbility to pass pre-employment screening.DOT Certification is a plus!2 years of job-related experience in the areas of delivery and installation (preferred) training is provided.Mechanical & Maintenance Experience/KnowledgeExperience driving box trucks.Ability to lift up to 200 lbs in a variety of environmental conditions (both weather and non-weather related)Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, squat, and bend for periods of time.Working Knowledge of computers and smart phone technologyTroubleshootingRoute Driving Experience a plus!Great Customer ServiceKey Job Responsibilities:Proactively inventory levels.Execute regular parts replenishment based on guidelines and knowledge of route.Manage all miscellaneous and fleet expenses for warehouse.Develop, maintain, and enforce uniformity in company warehouse policies and procedures.Plan and forecast fleet and inventories.Recommend process improvements and ensure consistent implementation of new processes/procedures within assigned team.Proactively monitor order management and routing systems to optimize routesProvide feedback to senior management.Deliver and Installlaundry to customers’ homes and client locations.Load, unload, and drive a box truck to deliver, pick up, or repair/replace washers, dryers, and/or air machines.Prepare equipment for delivery (assembly required parts prior to loading on trucks)Instruct customers and/or clients how to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner.Staying physically active loading and unloading your company truck using a 2-wheeled hand cart for support, ease, and safety.Required Education & Experience:2-5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAssociate degree or higher preferredPrevious experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain managementRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong leadership skillsAbility to build and manage teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to work independently.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExperience supervising team of at least three team members.Must be able to travel in the field.Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, & Teams skillsMaintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift 35-200 pounds.Push and pull hand carts loaded with washers/dryers and/or stackables.Work with tools or service parts weighing from 20-50 lbs.Travel – up to 25% per month.
