Role Overview: Elevate the Patient Journey: Lead Service Excellence at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull. Sodexo is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Patient Services Manager 2 to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, a 250-bed facility located in Brooklyn, NY. This hospital is part of the largest public healthcare system in the country and serves a diverse and dynamic community. At Woodhull, the Food & Nutrition Services department supports inpatient and outpatient care with over 700 meals served daily, utilizing a Cook/Chill meal delivery system and a standard patient tray line operation. The department also provides nourishment to ambulatory care, emergency, behavioral health units, outpatient clinics, and two satellite locations. The Patient Services Manager 2 will oversee a team of approximately 50 union employees. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence in patient food services, managing daily meal service operations, staff scheduling, purchasing, and patient experience initiatives. What You'll Do: Supervise patient meal service operations, including tray line and Cook/Chill service deliveryOversee patient food service production, meal rounding, and patient menu reviewsServe as a liaison between dietitians, nursing managers, and patient care unitsManage food and supply purchasing, ordering, and inventory controlRegularly analyze patient satisfaction data; implement action plans to improve outcomesLead employee scheduling, training, and performance management, including disciplinary processes and documentationMaintain compliance with HACCP, Gold Check Standards, food safety, and sanitation protocolsTrain and develop employees in service excellence, safety, and Sodexo operational standardsCollaborate with the culinary team to quickly resolve food-related issues or complaintsParticipate in patient safety and experience committees and support hospital initiatives What We Offer: Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
