Description EGC Construction a subsidiary of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking a Superintendent to join the team.EGC Construction Co. employs more than 120 skilled craft workers that focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. We offer general, commercial and industrial construction including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters and structural steel detailers.  EGC is proud to be part of the Messer Construction family of companies and we are committed to building what matters most for our customers and transforming the communities in which we live. The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise and coordinate field operations, driving projects to successful completion through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective planning & scheduling, cost management, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. The candidate must have a demonstrated familiarity with the construction industry and possess a desire for growth, long-term thinking, and relationship building skills.What You Will Do:Support owner, designer, subcontractor & vendor relationshipsUnderstand drawings, specification, and terms/conditions of owner contract and subcontractsDevelop and maintain site logisticsDrive project schedule including day to day supervision and coordination of construction activitiesMonitor & control costsPerform other duties and responsibilities as requiredWhat You Will Bring:5+ years of commercial or industrial construction experienceAdvanced training in construction management preferredExcellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsSkilled with technologyAbility to work non-traditional hoursAbilities:Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilitiesPhysical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50lbs., seeing and readingEGC is a merit shop contractor supporting a Team working environment.
