If you have experience in calibration and testing within manufacturing environments and are looking for your next career move, apply now.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Calibration Technician to assist with the calibration of mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards and assist in formulating calibration standards. This position will be Full-Time and Onsite contract position located Winston Salem, NC. The hours are Hours will be 7am to 3pm.What You’ll DoAssist with the calibration of mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment to ensure conformance with established standardsHelp formulate calibration standards and assist in developing planned sequences of testing and calibration procedures based on blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and other specificationsSet up standard and special-purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment to NIST Traceable equipmentMaintain laboratory to ISO13485/AS9100 standardsDisassemble instruments and equipment using hand tools, inspecting components for defectsMeasure parts for conformity with specifications using micrometers, calipers, and other precision instrumentsPerform calibration of instruments and equipment; manage sending them to external vendors as requiredMaintain accurate records of tests and services performed; enter required information into the company's databaseDevise formulas, if necessary, to solve problems in measurements and calibrationsCoordinate ordering of equipment or materials as neededAssist engineers in formulating calibration and evaluation plans and proceduresAssist in designing and fabricating fixtures and tools for production as requiredIdentify and recommend design, process, and quality enhancementsEnsure safe work practices are employed daily; address and report unsafe behavior or practices and recommend safety improvements to the SupervisorFollow Standard Operating Procedures, specifications, drawings, or written instructions under cleanroom conditions with a solid understanding of associated GMPsAssist in drafting and training work instructionsAssist with establishing and promoting lab performance metricsLead efforts within the lab regarding preventive maintenance, 5S, waste elimination, and other Lean conceptsSet up and operate production or test equipment in various configurations based on product and performance requirementsPerform other related duties as assignedWhat You’ll NeedRequired:Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environmentHigh School Diploma or GEDSteel Toe bootsProficiency in using a standard assortment of hand tools, fixtures, assembly, and test equipmentProficient with MS Office Suite to collect, organize, analyze, and report dataSelf-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on qualityComfortable interacting with employees at all levels; strong communication and customer-friendly skillsAbility to work well within a teamStrong verbal, writing, and listening skillsExperience with cleanroom conditions and associated GMPsFamiliarity with preventive maintenance concepts, 5S, waste elimination, and Lean principlesPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsAbility to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorMust be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in personSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etcAbility to lift and move equipment/materials as neededReasonable accommodation statementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to or (888) 824 – 8111.$20.00 hrThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
