Job Description

MANTECH seeks a mission-driven Deputy Program Manager to support the Program Manager in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a complex and dynamic contract. You will assist with technical and administrative operations while helping ensure successful execution of program goals, compliance, and quality standards.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supporting the Program Manager in day-to-day execution of program activities.Establishing and maintaining an accurate cost accounting system.Developing procedures for effective data management.Managing hardware and software configurations.Establishing and controlling the program product baseline.Implementing and overseeing a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program.Managing vendors and subcontractor relationships.Leading technical management teams located at client sites.Advising on work distribution, staffing levels, and skills alignment.Analyzing and evaluating operational effectiveness to meet program goals.Performing cost-benefit and economic evaluations of programs.Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.Recommending enhancements to organizational methods and procedures.Researching improved business and management practices.Compiling and summarizing information for senior-level decision making.Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree (4-year degree required).7+ years of experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager on contracts of similar size and complexity.Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with JAFAN eligibility.Experience managing cross-functional teams and subcontractor relationships.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with DOD and military/civilian personnel.Strong initiative and minimal supervision required.Willingness to travel within the geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA PM Level II certification.Security Clearance Requirements:Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearancePhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Must be able to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
