Job Description As a Security Officer - Federal Armed Patrol in Ridgeland, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with strong communication and customer service. Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help reduce unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues for reporting. Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems, reporting irregular activity according to site procedures. Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, directing visitors to the proper destination, and maintaining visitor logs as required. Perform security-related inspections of doors, gates, and common areas, reporting unsecured areas and policy violations through the appropriate channels. Write clear, timely reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes using Allied Universal and/or client reporting tools. Provide assistance during evacuations, severe weather, and other emergencies by following site instructions and coordinating with onsite management and public responders when requested. Support order and flow of foot and vehicle traffic in parking areas and entry lanes as assigned, providing directions and escalating issues when needed. Communicate professionally with onsite staff and members of the public, using de-escalation techniques to address disputes and/or disruptive behavior within policy limits.Minimum Requirements: Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
