Job Summary:The Terminal Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the onsite rail, pipeline, barge and truck rack equipment and duties. In addition, the position is responsible for day-to-day loading and unloading of all petroleum products by operating the necessary equipment to meet the goals, policies, and objectives of the Company and to maintain a safe, environmentally conscientious, and efficient quality work environment.At Global Partners, business starts with people. We show up every day with grit, passion, and purpose—anticipating needs, building lasting relationships, and creating shared value. Job Description:Facilitate the safe movement, receipt, and shipment of product between pipelines, rail cars, tanker trucks, marine and storage tanks by strictly following policies and procedures and ensuring proper system lineupEnsure that product transactions are properly measured, accurately documented, and conducted in accordance with established policies and proceduresProper tank gauging by physically climbing the tanks and reading a gauge tapeUse basic analytical test equipment and follow procedures for performing and documenting product quality assurance testingAssist in the maintenance and repair of metering devices, pumps, valves, and related equipment, and perform meter calibrationEquipment investigation, repair/or replacement of parts.Perform and document transport truck and routine terminal inspectionsStock balancing and reportingInteract with government agenciesManage drivers for safe loading and unloading in facilityMinor Terminal hardware & maintenance purchasing in accordance with company proceduresPerform terminal housekeeping and light labor duties including litter clearing including terminal inspectionsEnsure safe handling of fuels while receiving product via pipelinePromote and enforce health, safety, security, and environmental activities – intervene when necessaryMeasurement assuranceProper tank gaugingMarine PICDaily environmental inspections (LDAR)Identify, investigate, & escalate issues with close attention to detailAnalyze and comprehend reportsInteract with government agenciesPerform calibrations on various equipmentVapor systems investigation, repair and routine maintenanceLoading rack fire system inspection and maintenanceRead and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams P & IDsParticipate in security protocols at the facility as required and report incidents to appropriate partiesInvestigation of facility malfunctions observed or reported including lighting and fencingControlling traffic and entrance gatesInspecting visitor’s vehicles and badgesOther tasks identified and needed for safe, environmentally sound, and reliable operationsAdditional Job Description:Must be at least 18 years oldMust have a minimum of a high school diplomaMust possess a current, valid driver's licenseOperate a forkliftMust currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Note, information regarding TWIC standards may be found at to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodationWilling to climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodationTo attend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site, or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistanceWilling to work a rotating shift work scheduleWilling to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekendsWilling to be on call and meet callout standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergenciesEducation RequirementMust have a minimum of a high school diplomaNonePay Range:$27.88 - $32.21The pay range for this position is outlined above.
