In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.Individuals in this role will work supporting the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. Additionally, this position will manage projects aimed towards designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.This role offers a great opportunity for any passionate individual that enjoys problem solving and collaborative work environment. This individual will be able to make a mark on the organization as a leader, while working on state-of-the-art product.This role will train on 1st shift (5am to 3:30pm Mon - Thu) and will transition to support 2nd shift in Quarter 2 of 2026 (3:30pm - 2:00am Mon - Thu)What You'll Work On:Front line engineer supporting operations teamIndividual should:Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal directionHave excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and team leadership skillsWork effectively with cross-functional teamsManage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions. Collaborate with peer engineers and technicians.  Additional responsibilities include:Conduct Process FMEAs and Process ValidationsImprove product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput through the use of Lean manufacturing conceptsCoordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipmentWork with Product Development to ensure Design for ManufacturabilityRequired Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical or any engineering or technical degree or equivalent experience required3-5 years manufacturing engineering experience.Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skillsDemonstrated leadership capability in team settingsAbility to lead and motivate peers, drive change and problem solve with creativityAbility to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.Preferred Medical device experience preferredWhat We OfferAt Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
