The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who enjoy working as part of a team in a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment.Job Purpose/Summary:The Leak Detection Engineer develops, implements, and monitors the Leak Detection program for Company assets.The selected candidate will be eligible for company benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Free Parking.Job Responsibilities:Leak Detection SystemsConfigures, implements and maintains simulated models for leak detection systems.Monitors and tunes leak detection systems.Assess leak detection system performance including false alarms with Operations ControlUnderstands and interprets pipeline systems to establish leak detection requirements.Works with Operations Control and Pipeline Integrity to determine critical assets and prioritization.Provides rotational 24x7 technical service of the control center for leak detection support as neededLeak Detection ProgramReviews field equipment and operations and provides recommendations to improve leak detection capabilitiesPrepares cost estimates, budgets and supplies an oversight of changesEvaluates Leak Detection and Simulation technologies and stay current on industry trends and regulationsDevelops technologies to improve leak detection performanceProvides Controller and Operator trainingPerforms additional projects as requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, other degrees may be considered if enhanced by appropriate work experience1+ years of pipeline operating experienceFlexible, able to adapt to a change in work priorities and manage multiple projects with short turnaround time, including unplanned overtimeCross-functional collaboration with others to identify solutions to problems while taking into account the priorities of all work groupsExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrate guidance in implementing systems across a broad organizationUp to 10% travel to field locations and Operations Control in Midland, TexasCleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checksCompliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
