What you will doAs a controls systems technician with Johnson Controls you will perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems and respond to basic warranty callsHow you will do itLoads system-level controller softwarePerforms basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (such as: sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentationKeeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issuesCalibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipmentCompletes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentationDocuments changes and provides information for as-built documentationCommunicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work siteFollows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.What we look forBasic computer skillsDemonstrated technical aptitude.Able to use hand and power tools (i.e. drills, saws, etc.)Attention to detail.Effective communication and listening skills.Basic knowledge of mechanical HVAC systemsDepending on location, the mounting and termination of low-voltage devices may have special licensing requirements. PreferredLow voltage/120-volt wiring skills preferred.Two years’ experience in installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Visio Depending on location, the mounting and termination of low-voltage devices may have special licensing requirementsHIRING SALARY RANGE: $19.42-$24.00 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
