Lead Operating Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in facility management and operational services, is seeking a Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring the smooth functioning and maintenance of critical building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Operating Engineer Location: Carson, CA Pay Range: $35-$38/hr What's the Job? Support the activities, building structure, and development track at the facility in Carson, California. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and monitor repairs of Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, Hydraulic, and Control systems. Maintain responsibility for facility services, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and technical proficiency. Manage reactive work orders, support emergency responses, and ensure all systems operate at optimal performance levels. Lead and mentor other engineers, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met or exceeded. What's Needed? High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years of commercial facility maintenance experience. Possess CFC/EPA Universal Certification. Certification in at least two disciplines such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics, or Central Utility Plant Operations.
