Become a member of the Johnson Controls family and thrive in an empowering company culture where every voice and idea is valued – your next great opportunity is just a few clicks away!What you will doComplete assembly of complex standard products where procedures and methods are prescribed, involving tubing layout and application to package, bending or sawing pipe as needed to support AssemblyMounting motors onto packagesUse of all power and hand tools and other measuring devices to assure accurate fitting and alignment of parts to meet specifications on blueprints/drawings and pass identified test requirementsSets-up and level unit bases using laser levelInstalls perimeter angles, Reconnects, INT, EXT, Wall, roofs, and roof trim with minor supervisionPerforms good finish caulking, and knowledge of construction manual of what to caulk and when it appliesVerifies correct components installed in units Looks up drawings on Shop Floor Viewer as neededCan find work instructions, and operating instructions from MMIB manual when requiredDetect unusual conditions and defects in material/parts and report to supervisionPrep packages to ship by applying tags to units to identify equipment and devicesRead and follow blueprints/drawingsPerform necessary material handling associated with jobMaintain and record labor, production records in relation to time, quality, quantity, and other recordsMaintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards 16. May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem-solving exercisesFollow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA’sHow you will do itThe following description covers the most significant duties performed, but does not exclude duties of a lower level for any length of time, or duties of a higher level for approximately 20% of the time.Stand/Sit/Walk 8hr /day. No lifting over 35 lbs. Frequent reaching above waist height, bending at the waist, stooping, crouching, kneeling, push/pull, climbing, simple grasping and fine manipulation.The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments, not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in the conformity with the factory degrees assigned to the job.HOURS 2pm to 10pm M-F (training on 1st shift 6am to 2pm M-F)Pay Range: $28.51 (increasing to $29.37 on 2/22/2026) hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
