Aligned with sales team on maintaining current business and closing new opportunitiesDevelop and build effective relationships with customers especially with technical counterpartsProvides product training programs and presentations for the customers, staff, new hires, representatives, and others as neededSupport new product development and commercializationBuild and leverage technical service team expertise to demonstrate value to the customerUses performance feedback and career development to optimize individual and team performanceTrain and assess performance for team, while providing necessary guidanceEncourage the growth of all direct and indirect reports through skill development and goal settingHold direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and departmental performance goalsMentor employees, measure performance, and complete regular performance reviewsResolve employee issues in an effective and consistent mannerAdditional functionsIn addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions. Other duties as assignedJob QualificationsRequired QualificationsEngineering degree in mechanical/electrical with controls/automation focus or relevant experienceStrong focus on customer relationship buildingAbility to coordinate interdepartmental functions, synthesize and meet common objectivesLeadership experience and capability within project execution and service deliveryCompetent, customer-oriented professional who can multi-taskAbility to anticipate customer and team needs and provide proactive supportPreferred Qualifications2 years successful field services supervision, leadership or related experience5 years of technical service experience in the industryWorking ConditionsPhysical DemandsMust be able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Sit, squat, stoop to access, install equipmentAscend/descend ladder to install equipmentThis position requires:Occasional or frequent moderate physical activityEnvironmental FactorsGeneral Office & Warehouse environmentsFeed Lots – exposure to inclement weather & loud noisesFrequent exposure to various animal feed additive materialsTravel and On-callPosition requires 40-50% travel.
