The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients across the lifespan and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes. This role may float to comparable units as needed. Provide direct and indirect professional nursing careAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needsMonitor infection prevention and safety practicesRespond effectively to emergencies and changing prioritiesSupport patient flow and communicate concerns to leadershipCollaborate with physicians and ancillary departmentsParticipate in quality improvement and safety initiativesAssist with orientation, mentoring, and team developmentEnsure compliance with policies, standards, and competencies
