Groundskeeping Lead - Coppell ISD Grounds

Job DescriptionAramark is hiring a Groundskeeping Lead to support grounds and exterior maintenance operations across Coppell ISD. This role is responsible for hands-on grounds maintenance while also providing day-to-day leadership, direction, and oversight to a small groundskeeping team. This position is ideal for an experienced grounds professional who enjoys leading from the field, maintaining high standards, and supporting a school district environment where safety, appearance, and reliability matter.Work Location: Coppell, TX (multiple school sites)Schedule: Monday?Friday, 7:00 AM ? 4:00 PMEmployment Type: Full-Time | HourlyTeam Size: Lead for 3?5 grounds employeesJob ResponsibilitiesLead and participate in daily groundskeeping operations, including:Mowing, trimming, edging, and weedingLeaf removal and seasonal cleanupFertilizing, planting, and landscape careInclement weather response, including ice and snow removal when applicableMaintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and exterior common areasApply planned landscaping designs and sustainability guidelinesOperate and oversee use of grounds equipment, including:Power mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmersChainsaws, sprayers, and hand toolsTrucks, tractors, and attachments as neededPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and toolsTrain, guide, and support grounds staff on:Job duties and productivity expectationsEquipment operationSafety procedures and best practicesAssign daily tasks and support crew scheduling and coverageConduct grounds audits, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with codes, safety standards, district guidelines, and Aramark policiesReport equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptlyUtilize CMMS to track work, inspections, and service requests (preferred) At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.Qualifications3?5 years of groundskeeping or horticulture experience preferredPrior experience leading or supervising a small crew (3?5 employees) requiredWorking knowledge of groundskeeping principles and power landscape equipmentAbility to work independently with limited supervisionStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of CMMS systems preferredAbility to adhere strictly to safety proceduresThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
