MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer- Mid Level to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.  This is an onsite position.This position plays a vital role in maintaining the technical integrity of our systems infrastructure across the entire lifecycle—from initial concept to retirement. Working under the guidance of senior leadership, you will design and implement robust hardware and software solutions, ensuring quality and completeness across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas. You will serve as a key technical liaison for Government stakeholders and project personnel, contributing to essential documentation such as System Engineering Plans and requirements specifications while developing simulations to guarantee system performance.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Infrastructure Automation: Proven experience researching and designing automation technologies, specifically creating seamless connections between information inputs, controllers, and outputs.Configuration Management: Proficiency with industry-standard tracking and orchestration tools, including Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or GitLab.Technical Documentation: Skilled in use case development and requirements derivation, with the ability to draft critical project artifacts like Interface Control Documents and ICs.DevOps Integration: Strong knowledge of Development Operations (DevOps) to effectively automate and integrate workflows between software development and IT teams.Virtualization & Programming: Hands-on experience with VMware and technical proficiency in Python, C, and Linux environments for system testing and simulation.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related experience in systems engineering or related technical disciplineExperience with infrastructure automation, specifically creating links between information inputs, controllers, and outputsExperience with use case development, requirements derivation, and drafting technical project documentationExperience with DevOps integration practices across development and IT environmentsExperience with VMware, Python, C, and Linux environmentsPreferred Qualifications:DevOps Workflow Integration: Practical experience implementing DevOps methodologies to bridge the gap between software development and IT operations through automated CI/CD pipelines.Requirements Engineering: Advanced proficiency in use case development and the derivation of technical requirements from high-level stakeholder needs.Technical Artifact Development: Demonstrated ability to author and maintain complex project artifacts, including System Engineering Plans (SEPs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).Lifecycle Management Expertise: Familiarity with the integration of Enterprise and Agreement process areas as defined by ISO/IEC 15288 to ensure total system quality.Clearance Requirements:Must have a current/active DoD TS/SCIPhysical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
