Quality Manager, Manufacturing Location: Cincinnati, OH Lead. Elevate. Deliver Excellence. We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System at our Cincinnati manufacturing site. This is a hands-on leadership role for a Quality professional who can step in immediately, maintain critical certifications, and guide the organization through a changing certification landscape. This is not an entry-level role. Corporate Quality strongly recommends prior GFSI experience, as the site maintains multiple certifications with upcoming changes that require a knowledgeable and confident leader from day one. Why This Role Matters You will own the site Quality Management System and lead a team responsible for product quality, food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your leadership directly impacts certification standing, customer confidence, and operational performance. This is a plant-embedded role requiring strong partnership with Manufacturing, Corporate Quality, and external auditors. Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership and Compliance Lead and manage all programs and activities of the Quality department Own and maintain the site Quality Management System, including procedures, policies, and standards Ensure compliance with GFSI, ISO 9001, GMP, and customer requirements Prepare for, lead, and respond to internal and external audits Maintain and protect existing certifications and support upcoming certification changes Operational Excellence Monitor site quality and food safety metrics; identify trends and implement corrective actions Lead customer complaint and reject processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation Partner with Manufacturing to ensure finished goods meet specifications through documented process controls and monitoring Report performance, metrics, and progress against quality goals to site and corporate leadership People Leadership Hire, train, coach, and develop Quality team members Set performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and accountability Build a culture of ownership, transparency, and fact-based decision-making External Engagement Visit customers and suppliers as needed to resolve issues and maintain relationships Qualifications and Experience Required Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred (technical discipline ideal)— OR — 10+ years of relevant Quality or Manufacturing experience 5+ years of Quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Direct experience with GFSI strongly preferred Prior audit leadership experience; knowledge of ISO 9001 and GMP required Skills and Capabilities Strong data management, analytical, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated use of fact-based decision-making and continuous improvement tools Effective communicator across all levels, including manufacturing leaders and executives Exceptional organization and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities Proactive, accountable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Technical Skills Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Visio, Teams, and Outlook What Success Looks Like Certifications are audit-ready and maintained at all times Quality and food safety metrics are stable, visible, and improving The Quality team is trained, engaged, and trusted by Manufacturing Issues are resolved at the root cause, not patched downstream Customers experience consistency, reliability, and responsiveness Our Expectations Accountability matters.
