This role includes teaching, student evaluation, professional mentoring, committee participation, and engagement in service and scholarship activities aligned with Chamberlain's mission.*Please note, we are looking for candidates with flexibility to teach in either our Daytime program, Monday - Friday 9-5, and our Evening/Weekend program which includes the following hours of availability: Monday - Friday 1-9 pm and Saturdays 8am-4pm. Position OverviewTeach assigned nursing courses (e.g.: classroom, online, clinical, lab, simulation), creating engaging learning experiences, using technology and evidence-based methods.Provide input to and implement course curriculum and teaching materials.Keep students first, know your students, identify individual needs, and foster relationships that support learning success.Evaluate student performance; provide feedback and remediation as needed.Lead clinical learning (clinicals, labs, simulation) or partner with Faculty that is leading labs; ensure students are practice-ready by connecting theory to practice and supporting safe, ethical, and professional practice.Contribute to the CU community through professional services (to include committees, graduation, and program evaluation).Provide guidance, coaching, and support to students and new faculty.Engage in scholarly activities related to teaching and nursing practice such as researching, applying, and disseminating new knowledge.Maintain subject matter and teaching skills through ongoing professional development.Follow, understand, and enforce policies related to students (exams, late assignments, attendance etc.) and stay up to date with changes.Key behaviors tied to success in this role:Anticipate and respond to student needs; empower faculty and academic leaders to create solutions that remove barriers to successConnect daily work to our vision and strategy at Chamberlain for your hierarchySeek feedback, implement new initiatives in alignment with the strategy, and use data to continuously improve student outcomesPartner with internal and external stakeholders and build high-performing teams to deliver strong results in a matrixed environmentDemonstrate ethical practice, take accountability for individual and team success, and celebrate successesWhat success looks like in your role:Students achieve strong outcomes including NCLEX, KAM, and other program success indicatorsStudents are engaged and satisfied, as reflected in course evaluations and NPS feedbackAll work meets licensure and regulatory requirementsGrading and feedback are accurate per the rubric, timely, constructive, and high qualityTechnology, data, and AI tools are used effectively to improve teaching and learning outcomeFaculty contribute to professional service and scholarshipFaculty consistently demonstrate Chamberlain’s culture, values, and leadership behaviorsCompletes other duties as assigned.Qualifications* Master’s degree in nursingExcellent communication skills along with a high level of initiative and prudent judgmentTechnological expertise with learning management systems, simulation equipment, and online platforms, increasingly ability to work with AICreate engaging learning environments and exhibit strong conflict management skillsCollaborating across faculty, Extended Service Team, and clinical partnersEmotional and social intelligence to recognize student needs, respond with empathy, and create a supportive, inclusive learning environmentPlease see state-specific addendum for any additional requirements that may be needed to teach within your designated specialty (link to Online Faculty Licensure Requirements Document)Maintain current regulatory and practice credentials, when appropriate, based on assignmentFor those working within the clinical setting, additional compliance requirements are needed and those requirements are located in the faculty compliance packet. *Education and experience must align with regulations in the stateExperientially prepared to teach assigned courses Scholarship Requirements: Demonstrates scholarship congruent with the level of rank. Scholarship must be: 1) made public, 2) open to critical review and evaluation by knowledgeable peers and 3) accessible for exchange and use by othersThe Faculty member is required to demonstrate at least one example within one of the four following focus areas of professional development and scholarship (detailed examples of each rank are outlined in the faculty handbook for reference): Scholarship of Discovery, Scholarship of Integration, Scholarship of Practice/Application, Scholarship of Teaching and LearningTeaching RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience working in a clinical setting Experientially prepared to teach assigned courses Education and experience must align with regulations in the state. Complies with the rules and regulations of state authorization agencies, which may include the higher education board and/or licensing board in multiple states.Additional InformationIn support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $53,520.9 and $93,918.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
