Position Summary/Department Summary:40-hour 100% onsite social work position to provide a range of clinical social work services and case management to patients in the lung, intestine and liver transplant program. This social worker will care for the organ group population in all phases of transplant (evaluation, transplant admission and follow up).Key Responsibilities:Psychosocial assessment as part of transplant candidacy for the programCounseling and crisis interventionFacilitation of the use of hospital and community servicesResource information and referral, and program developmentPsychosocial consultation to multidisciplinary teamMinimum QualificationsEducation:Master’s degree in social workExperience:2 years plus experience as a licensed Social WorkerExperience in medical environment, bereavement, child protection issues preferredFlexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExcellent communication skills are necessary.Diverse candidates encouraged to applyLicensure/Certifications:LICSW Licensure in state of MAThis position is 100% onsiteNew hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
