We are looking for a dedicated RN Med-Surg like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for ourNeuro Stroke this role you will beresponsible for planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care given to (Neuro Stroke Med Surg patients). If this describes you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!You will develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosisYou will administer medications as ordered for specific group of patients and demonstrates knowledge of their modes of action, side effects and contraindicationsYou will initiate, regulate and otherwise manages IV therapy for a specific group of assigned patientsYou will assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider complexity of nursing care required by each patientYou will evaluate patient environment for safety and communicates identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely mannerYou will provide patient education and keeps patient informed of treatment planQualifications:This position is in the Neuro Stroke Services departmentGraduate from an Accredited School of NursingBSN preferredBasic computer and hospital informatics skills requiredSpecialty Certification where required: example: Chemotherapy; ACLS; PALS ; NIHSSCurrent CPR certification from American Heart Association requiredComplies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programsCurrent acute clinical care experience preferredCurrent Registered Nurse license in the State of NevadaIndependently maintains licenseAcquires required contact hours to maintain practiceSunrise Hospital & Medical Centerprovides Las Vegas and the Southwest region with high-quality, advanced healthcare services.
