Assistant Director of Recreation

Amsterdam Nursing Home is hiring a Assistant Director of Recreation to work for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the heart of New York City. DUTIES:Assist in developing, implementing & supervising all recreational servicesAssist in maintaining and developing recreational budgetPlans individual and group recreation services, both therapeutic and generalAssist in creating exciting & therapeutic recreation programsAssist in supervising all recreation assistants and volunteersAssist in all necessary documentationProvide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employeesMember of the interdisciplinary & management teamsREQUIREMENTS: 3 years of Recreation experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferredExcellent administrative and organizational skillsMust enjoy working with the senior populationABOUT US:With Columbia University and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine among its neighbors, Amsterdam House is located on Amsterdam Avenue at 112 street in New York City.
