The Contract Governance Analyst is responsible for governance and compliance of the Contract Lifecycle Management System, Sirion. This role is tasked with facilitating change management, monitoring the system to ensure documents are processed within the guidelines of the CLM Policy and providing the business units responsible for the contracts with ongoing support. Analysts work to ensure contractual obligations that optimize key benefits of a contract are managed closely with the contract owners. Please be aware, Sherwin-Williams recruiting team members will never request a candidate to provide a payment, ask for financial information, or sensitive personal information like national identification numbers, date of birth, or bank account numbers during the application process.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Business Partnering:Ability to establish credible relationships across Sherwin-WilliamsActively participate in any future design building sessions to understand user groups’ contract process and establish relationships with stakeholders, preparing for post go-live supportLeverages relationships with contract owners across both buy and sell side to facilitate contract operations from contract request through post signature management Supports system approval and signature process by tracking requests through contract execution with all Stakeholders involvedSupports training for end users and category managers on system Obligations and Reporting. Promotes user adoption by improving contract system usabilityContract and Strategy Execution:Ensure contract workflows are followed to fully signed agreements and properly converted to final draft in contract repositoryReviews contract repository and contract data to ensure Sherwin-Williams achieves full value from contracts, communicating directly with contract owners/business groupsEnsures fulfillment of Contract Management process compliance expectationsParticipates in user training and provide ongoing support of contract obligationsConduct surveillance to detect and aid in correcting instances of contracting activities that occur outside of systemTrack expired contracts, helping to ensure on-time renewals are processed and ensure Retention Policy is supported – working directly with contract ownersReview data and system insights and created various reports for user groups and steering Op-Co throughout each monthContinuous Improvement:Identify bottlenecks and alert users of process flow aging concerns in an effort to complete contract process more efficientlyParticipate in information gathering meetings to understand user group contract requirements and aid in establishing and managing contract obligationsReview system regularly and perform various data cleanse activitiesMonitor metrics related to risks, time and valuePOSITION REQUIREMENTSFORMAL EDUCATION:Required:Bachelor’s degree requiredPreferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:Required: 3+ years of finance, procurement, or contract management experience. Preferred:Previous experience working with Contracts – procurement or sales related - with a basic understanding of contractual terms and conditions. TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Required:Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive mannerAbility to identify and research legal implications of a contract obligationsCapable of navigating through ambiguous situations and provide business guidance on 3rd party agreementsAbility to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the enterprise and support reporting on contract compliance and obligations to our 3rd partiesAbility to develop processes and/or to identify continuous improvements to help better coordinate activities and drive business value across buy and sell side organizations (e.g., capture price increases, rebates, discounts, etc)Exceptional relationship builder and stakeholder manager, ability to grow personal networksProficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Preferred:Positive, proactive, can-do attitudeAutonomy, entrepreneurial self-starter who can work with minimal supervisionConfident and able to push back when appropriate, escalate when neededInspires trust and confidenceResults-oriented and responsible
