Dental Assistant

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and dental professionals.Duties• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment by applying aseptic techniques.• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for various procedures.• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.• Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and medical documentation efficiently.• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and clinic operations.Experience• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate• Familiarity with dental terminology and systems is essential for effective communication within the team.• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, particularly when working with younger patients.• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately as part of patient assessments.This full time position involves working Monday-Friday. Fridays are half day 8:30AM-12:30PM.
