Data Scientist

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.  This is a fulltime hybrid position that will support MANTECH’s Data and AI Practice.As a Data Scientist on our team, you will play a key role in developing advanced Dashboard Analytics, showcasing real-time capabilities that directly support Navy and Marine Corps Aviation. You’ll work in a collaborative team environment, focused on solving complex technical challenges associated with data gathering and visual presentation, in direct support of our customer’s most critical missions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasetsVisualize, interpret, and report data findingsCreate dynamic data reportsApply knowledge to develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization softwareMust be able to travel locally up to 10%Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline and at least 3 or more years of data scientist experience. An associate’s degree and 7 or more years of data scientist experience or a High School Diploma and 9 or more years of Data Scientist experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.3 or more years of experience supporting Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) organization and operationsProficiency with QLIK and TableauPreferred Qualifications:Ability to conduct briefings to Senior Military & Civil Service personnelFamiliarity with Microsoft Power platformsClearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active or current Top-Secret clearance, with SCI eligibilityPhysical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
