ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Hands-on involvement in the product development process throughout the entire Cincinnati site including all of the production departments. Ensure trial runs are designed and conducted in a manner intended to identify potential quality issues and resulting in a quality plan aimed at preventing nonconformance’s. Act as the liaison between sales, the customer and operations for developmental projects as needed translating customer needs and expectations into executable development plans. Collaborate with corporate technical team as needed on the development of packaging structures per the request of sales for new business opportunities. CRM sales system ownership from PD perspective supporting the quoting process for NBO’s. Track and support the plant processes for onboarding new business and/or significant adjustments to existing business. Coordinate with CTS on pre- and post-trial reviews of customer trials. Support and at times physically attend customer trials with CTS or separately as necessary. Support evaluation and troubleshooting of internal and external (customer) quality issues. Monitor and support internal and external trials in extrusion including new structures, new or secondary source raw materials, and film internalization. Monitor and support internal and external trials in press and conversion including new structures, new business development, new processes, and new or potential secondary raw material supply. Coordinate with site leadership regarding technical issues including but not limited to trials, process improvements, and potential capital improvements. Monitor and support efficiency and cost savings projects throughout the plant as requested. Test and help support evaluation of alternative materials within the framework of the Quality System. Maintain data collection and report out updates for responsible projects Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related disciplines preferred More than 3 years manufacturing experience utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid working knowledge and hands on experience with concepts and principles Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email and calendar. Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients. Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options. Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Comply with all ProAmpac Safety, Quality, Operational and Employment policies, and practices. Halt manufacturing processes and immediately notifying management of any safety, material, equipment, or technical non-conformance. Remove from operation any machine deemed unsafe and immediately notify management. Adhere to all Quality principles as outlined in our Quality System to ensure efficient production of a quality product on a daily basis. Day to day compliance with food safety and prerequisite programs Operate in a manner that will reduce waste and optimize usable production.
