For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Staff and Management Team Members The Airport Facility Maintenance Supervisor at ABM is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians to ensure airport facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role oversees daily maintenance operations, ensures compliance with ABM standards and airport regulations, and serves as a primary point of contact for client communication and service delivery. Leadership & Team ManagementSupervise, lead, and support a team of facility maintenance technicians in daily operationsAssign work orders, schedule tasks, and prioritize maintenance activities to meet operational and client needsProvide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to team membersEnsure technicians follow ABM policies, safety procedures, and airport security requirementsMonitor productivity, workmanship quality, attendance, and compliance with established standardsParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiativesFacility Maintenance & OperationsOversee routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs of airport facilitiesEnsure proper maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general building systemsRespond to and coordinate emergency maintenance situations as requiredConduct quality inspections to verify completed work meets ABM and client expectationsSupport facility upgrades, capital projects, and special assignmentsClient Communication & Customer ServiceServe as a primary point of contact for airport clients, tenants, airlines, and airport operations staffCommunicate service expectations, maintenance schedules, and work status to clients in a professional mannerAddress and resolve client concerns, service issues, and escalations in a timely mannerEnsure service delivery meets contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and ABM performance standardsRepresent ABM professionally in meetings, walkthroughs, and client interactionsSafety, Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with FAA, TSA, OSHA, airport authority regulations, and ABM safety policiesConduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessmentsMaintain accurate documentation, work orders, reports, and incident records using ABM systemsIdentify maintenance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities and report to managementOther Duties as AssignedPerform additional duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned by ABM management to support operational needs and client requirementsProvide coverage for team members during absences or peak operational periodsAssist with audits, inspections, emergency response, and operational readiness activities as requiredSupport cross-functional teams and collaborate with other ABM service lines when neededAdapt to changing operational priorities, schedules, and client needs in a fast-paced airport environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferredMinimum of 3–5 years of facility or building maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experienceStrong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systemsProven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-security environmentStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and safety proceduresValid driver’s license and ability to obtain airport security clearance and airfield accessPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spacesAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotationsPreferred QualificationsPrior supervisory experience in an airport or large commercial facilityExperience working in a union environment (if applicable)Familiarity with CMMS and reporting systemsEPA Universal Certification or other trade-related licensesWorking ConditionsThis position operates in a dynamic airport environment with exposure to noise, weather, and operational areas.
