HVAC Operation & Maintenance Specialist

What you will do:As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical and utility systems at one of our clients. This position performs hands‑on preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, steam systems, air compressors, pumps, and supporting infrastructure while partnering with Operations, Construction, and Commissioning teams.**This role includes on‑call responsibilities and may require working varying shifts, including weekends. **How you will do it:Maintain and troubleshoot chiller systems including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and refrigerant circuitsSupport steam system operations, inspections, leak repairs, outages, and new piping tiesMaintain and repair air compressors, dryers, utility pumps, and related systemsSupport construction, outages, utility tie‑ins, and commissioning activitiesAssist with BAS/BMS monitoring, alarms, and point checks (including BACnet‑integrated systems)Follow all safety, compliance, and permit‑to‑work procedures (LOTO, hot work, confined space)Document maintenance activities and collaboration with technicians, contractors, and client teamsWhat we look for:3–5+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or industrial/utility maintenanceWorking knowledge of chillers, steam systems, pumps, piping, valves, and controlsAbility to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentationStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsEPA Section 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.06 - 35.79 Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
