Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required from last 12 months. • Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. • Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months Requirements: • Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted. • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. • 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health. • 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience: Min 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 250+ beds. Experience with large hospital, busy environment. Equipment utilized: Telemetry, Philips monitors, Bladder scanner, Acuivein, Omnicell. Shift & Scheduling: 12 hour Day/Night rotation, every other weekend and holiday. Travelers can self-schedule but are only guaranteed days off listed on their contract. During schedule balancing, they may be moved off a self-scheduled shift. If a specific day off cannot be supported, staff are asked to find someone to trade with. Schedule balancing is mindful to avoid frequent day/night flipping. Floating Requirements: Willing to float to all MS units on all 3 campuses in Fargo as needed. 7CD home unit can float to any med/surg unit within Fargo. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.
