South Shores Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our technicians play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care during both outpatient visits and procedures. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing treatment plans, assisting during exams, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, and collaborating closely with our doctors to complete dental procedures. Technicians also provide clear and compassionate client education, addressing questions with professionalism and confidence. We are looking for a technician who enjoys collaborating with others, communicates well with both clients and teammates, and brings a positive, proactive approach to their work. This position is ideal for someone who wants to fully utilize their skills in both outpatient and surgical settings while being part of a supportive, team-focused environment.Schedule: This is a flexible full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed on Saturdays and rotating Sundays.Full-time benefits and compensation**: Compensation: $25-29 per hour, for each hour worked* Bonus package: $2000 CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA option Life insurance, disability, and 401k options Employee Assistance Program Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Minimum qualifications and skill set: Current Licensed Veterinary Technician license in the state of Nevada Proficiency in the following skills: Placing IV catheters and performing cystocentesis Administering subcutaneous, intramuscular & intravenous injections In house laboratory processing and microscopic evaluation Anesthetic induction and monitoring Dental prophy, radiographs, and extractions About South Shores Animal Hospital: South Shores Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited, 6-doctor, full-service small animal hospital located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, Nevada.
