What We Offer: Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech ILocation: Novant Health – Hilton Head Heart Okatie Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No weekends or holidays) The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. What We're Looking For: Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, required Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB – RT(N) or CNMT, required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required. Applicable state license, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served; has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his / her age-specific needs.
