Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.What’s in it for you:Site Location: Lisle, IL Set schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 2nd shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Competitive hourly wage of $21 / hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance optionsCareer growth opportunities at GardaWorldUniform provided at no costResponsibilities of Global Command Center Operator Coordinates and assists with the direction and dispatching of an assigned team of security personnel to carry out the daily protective operations of the department.Acts on all customer service related calls and either resolves them personally or refers issues to the appropriate individuals.Manages information flow to and from incident sites, off site responders, vendors, and other response personnel.Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems.Systemically monitor and communicate potential and known threats that may impact client's coworkers and operations across the globe.Maintain effective communication among all levels of the organization during a crisis event.Serve as the liaison between all departments and the Security Department.Directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine, and unusual, events occurring on, or near, the facilities (accomplished via shift reports, pass-downs logs, incident reports, incident reports logs, or other established methods)Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras, and CCTV remote viewer programs. Monitors and responds to all security/life safety system alarms.Answer, and respond, to events and situations received over regular, and emergency, phones, and intercoms.Speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.Professional, friendly, and positive communication style.Comfortable in a high-tech work environment; the ideal candidate can keep pace with an environment where there's constant learning of new mechanisms, applications, and tools.Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under pressure.Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.Aptitude for clear and effective written/verbal directions and clarifying information under time-sensitive conditions.Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, work independently, and complete objectives in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Must be able to walk, stand, sit or climb stairs for long periods of time.Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activityDocument observed events and incidents, writing detailed reportsRespond quickly to incidents or potential threatsConduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premisesControl access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitorsAnalyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctionsCollaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergenciesEnsure the safety and protection of individuals and propertyQualifications of a Surveillance Security GuardMust have a valid IL PERC Must have at least 2 years experience as a Command Center Operator Be authorized to work in the U.S.Bachelor’s DegreeBilingual (English/Spanish)Previous experience working in a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)Broad geopolitical awareness, knowledge of global events, and cultural sensitivity.Familiarity with news reporting sources, social media channels, as well as other channels for real-time monitoring of current events.Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GEDBe able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening processStrong report writing skillsSharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skillsStrong proficiency with technologyIf you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!You have a state license if requiredIn the United States, GardaWorld Security remains the only guarding security company to be Certified by Great Place to Work.
