Overview:SRS Distribution is looking for a critical thinking, articulate accountant to join the Transaction Services team.  In this role, you will primarily be responsible for conducting financial due diligence on the buy side, reporting and providing insight to stakeholders, as well as contributing to the preparation of post-closing requirements.  This role offers significant opportunities, exposure and a chance to be part of a company that is fast-paced and is continuously growing.Key Responsibilities:Perform buy-side financial diligence, providing comfort on seller reported revenue, gross profit, operating expenses and EBITDAAbility to quickly obtain trust from sellers in terms of confidence and competency related to the financial due diligence process, objectives and overall business acumenAssess and report on adjustments to reported results for one-time, non-recurring or incorrectly categorized items (Adjusted Revenue and EBITDA)Analyze working capital trends and determine working capital target for seller within the purchase agreementDetermine and communicate proforma adjustments to provide insight on results reported on a go forward basis post transaction (Proforma Adjusted Revenue and EBITDA)Provide insight for associates on valuable insights discovered through the QOE process, such as customer concentration and credit risksOversee planning and execution of accounting related closing weekend tasks, and attend as necessaryAssist in the compilation and preparation of post-closing requirements, for example the closing working capital statement and related purchase price adjustmentMinimum Years of Work Experience:5+ years of relevant experience, including 2-3 years in a management role.Minimum Qualifications:5+ years of dedicated experience in Transaction Advisory Services within a top CPA firm or in a Corporate Development/Internal M&A role with a high-growth, acquisition-focused company.Ability to interact and build trust with external owners and internal executives.Experience in U.S. GAAP, M&A transaction mechanics, and complex financial analysis (QoE, Working Capital items).Strong proficiency in data consolidation, analysis and presentation.Minimum Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with semester hours completed to be CPA eligibleCertifications:CPA designation preferred.Competencies:Agility and ResilienceBusiness InsightsCollaborationCustomer FocusDevelop TalentDrive ResultsLeadership CourageProficient in GAAP principles with financial acumenStrategic & meticulousProactive & resilientStrong interpersonal skillsSkilled in data consolidation & analysisCompetent in the utilization of formulas and functionsEmotional intelligenceTeam development & talent managementDirect Manager/Direct Reports:Reports directly to the VP of Accounting (M&A and Special Projects).Travel Requirements:Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to target company locations (up to 20-30% travel)Work Location:McKinney, TX- SRS Distribution HeadquartersAtlanta, GA- GMS HeadquartersWorking Conditions:Standard office environment located at the SRS Distribution Headquarters in McKinney, TX.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and ability to lift 15 lbs. as needed      Not the right job for you?
