This role serves as the technical lead for the maintenance team, coordinating work, supporting technician development, and ensuring the safe, reliable operation of critical building and production systems.This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys leading by example, improving equipment reliability, and working in a modern, safety-focused operation. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & CoordinationLead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for the assigned area or shiftPrioritize work orders and respond to equipment issues to minimize downtimeSupport onboarding and training of maintenance technicians and traineesProvide break coverage and ensure continuity of maintenance supportServe as a technical resource and point of escalation for complex issuesMaintenance & Technical ExecutionPerform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of:Refrigeration systemsHVAC systemsAir compressorsProduction and warehouse equipmentFacility infrastructure and building systemsSupport preventive maintenance (PM) execution and continuous improvement effortsAssist with installations, modifications, and equipment upgradesMaintain accurate documentation and work order records (CMMS or equivalent)Safety, Quality & ReliabilityEnsure all work is performed in compliance with safety policies and proceduresSupport safe operation of ammonia refrigeration systems (where applicable)Maintain housekeeping standards within maintenance areasEscalate safety, equipment, or reliability concerns as neededAuthority & Decision-MakingPrioritize maintenance work within assigned area or shiftMake real-time decisions to address equipment issues and downtimeRecommend equipment shutdowns, repairs, or corrective actions when safety or reliability is at riskPartner with operations leadership to align maintenance prioritiesQualifications:High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)2+ years of maintenance experience in a warehouse, production, or industrial environmentStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and lead by example on the floorCompany descriptionVistar customers are everywhere people work, play, and shop.
