Position: Safety Compliance Coordinator - Driver CompliancePay Rate: $22 per hourSchedule: M-F 8am - 5pmJob Description:The Safety Compliance Coordinator, Driver Compliance will be required to sustain the company’s safety rating and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company standards. Ensure driver qualification files are in compliance with DOT and company policy. Previous experience in transportation safety coordination is recommended.Core Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure appropriate insurance requirements are met for contractorsActivate and place in compliance review drivers, tractors and contractors in the various safety and operations systems and ensure O/O insurance binders are activated and cancelled in accordance with status changesCommunicate DOT Regulations and DOT interpretations in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety RegulationsComplete necessary employment verifications, contact attempts and account for gaps in driver qualification filesEnsure that all initial compliance items (license status, DOT physical and DOT physical self-certification) are up-to-dateDistribute self-certification physical report/update to all operations groupsTransfer drivers from various statuses between company subsidiary motor carriers.Other duties as assignedRequirements:Knowledge of the trucking industryUnderstanding of the FMCSA rules and regulationsComputer proficiencyAbility to manage multiple projectsRequires strong interpersonal & communication skills, compliance, implementation, and auditing tasksMust be familiar with standard DOT or Agency Compliance concepts, practices, and proceduresAbility to work independently as well as with othersMust be willing to work a flexible scheduleSkills:Ideal candidate will possess a “can do" attitude with a “will do" work ethicKnowledge of standard DOT Compliance concepts, practices, & proceduresMust have the ability to work in a fast paced environmentExperience with AS400 operating systems is a plusTransportation industry knowledge and experience is a plusForward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.#L1-TW1Since 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
