As an RN in OR setting you will collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs.What you will do in this role:Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situationFoster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patientsAssess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the ORAssess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing careEnsure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment Keep the operating room sterilizedReview charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of careWhat qualifications you will need:Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferredRegistered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferredNIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment startBasic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of startAmerican Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start dateMinimum 1year previous perioperative experience CNOR preferred PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required within 6 months HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital.
