Commercial Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the facilities management industry, is seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Commercial Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational needs of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Commercial Maintenance Technician Location: Grand Rapids, MI Pay range: $30-$34/hr. (negotiable) What's the Job? Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment Perform general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.) Handle minor plumbing repairs and maintain lighting systems including bulbs and ballasts Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and other general maintenance duties Be on call for after-hours emergencies and ensure safety procedures are followed diligently What's Needed? High school diploma or GED equivalent Valid state driver’s license Minimum of one (1) year of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical work Ability to lift at least 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening processes What's in it for me?
