Manpower Engineering is seeking graduates from a 4-year automotive program to work with a large (Big 3) automotive manufacturer as a Technical Training Developer.  Hybrid role based out of Auburn Hills, MI.  Must live in or relocate to the area.   Where: Hybrid work, generally 1 day/week onsite but based on project needs (some projects during the year will require consecutive days/weeks at the training center) Hours:  Typical work hours: 8am-5pm Type: Long-term, indefinite contract position.  Potential consideration for perm down the road. Some schools that may be a fit (not required): Southern Illinois University (SIU), Pitt State in Kansas, Weber State, SUNY, Ferris State, Montana State, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology, Río Hondo College among others WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU Opportunity to work a long-term role with a world class automotive manufacturer Inclusive and diverse culture Team atmosphere  WHAT YOU’LL DO Using your automotive know-how, build automotive technical training curriculum including instructor-led training, e-learning, microlearning, and quick reference guides/job aids.  Create comprehensive storyboards and video scripts. Design engaging course elements with graphics, audio, and video. Transform technical content into engaging and impactful learning experiences. Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development to recommend innovative approaches and tools for enhancing the learning experience and driving performance improvement.  WHAT YOU NEED Sample works, such as a portfolio, e-Learning demo, or printed materials. Ideally, a Bachelor’s degree in an automotive program or related technical field. Also, instructional design / curriculum development or technical writing education could be a good fit.    Knowledge of automotive components and systems such as transmissions, engines, gearboxes, steering (preferred) Experience with Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)  Ability to write effective instructional text and audio/video scripts Ability to work in a Learning Management System (LMS) – company uses Cornerstone LMS.  Have understanding of adult education Strong project management, time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Ability to travel periodically.
