This is a hands-on role focused on detection, response, and security engineering. This is not a policy or paperwork role — this is about building, tuning, and responding. Success in this role requires an individual who is organized, assertive, resourceful, and an excellent communicator.   WHAT YOU'LL DO Network Security Monitor network security controls across IT and OT environmentsAudit firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network segmentationAnalyze network traffic and packet captures to identify suspicious or malicious activityImprove visibility into east-west traffic and lateral movementSupport secure remote access into manufacturing and plant environments SOC, Detection & Response Partner with the SOC and EDR provider on alerts and incidentsImprove network-based detections across SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR telemetrySupport incident response activities, including containment and remediation EDR, SIEM & Threat Hunting Leverage EDR and SIEM to investigate network-adjacent attacker activityBuild and tune SIEM detections for new IoC/IoA’s  WHAT YOU'LL NEED  Hands-on security or network security experienceVery strong network fundamentals, including:TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network architecturesFirewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.)VPNs and remote access technologiesAbility to analyze packet captures and network logs with confidenceExperience supporting or working closely with SOC operationsStrong troubleshooting mindset and comfort working live incidentsExperience with OT or industrial networks (PLC, SCADA, manufacturing)Exposure to penetration testing or adversary simulationExperience with IDS/IPS, NetFlow, or NDR toolsScripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell)  Education & Experience Four-year college preferred or commensurate work experience.Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or related certification. Experience4+ years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst/engineerPrevious experience as a client/server or infrastructure engineer3+ years conducting IT compliance exercises (system access audits, penetration tests, change management audits) PAY & BENEFITSPay Range (Base Pay): $130,000 - $160,000Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location. Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care, Reimbursement Accounts (FSA), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Voluntary Insurance (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Legal, Life, AD&D); Pet InsuranceRetirement Benefits: 401(k)Paid Time Off (PTO): Includes vacation, sick leave, and paid company holidays provided in accordance with company policy and applicable state and local laws.  To apply, click "Apply" and complete the online application.   WHAT YOU’LL GETPeople First: At Golden State Foods, we're not just a company; we're a dynamic community where your talents are celebrated, and your ambitions are nurtured.
