The Production Scheduling Manager will primarily be accountable for the service metrics at the plant and protect the voice of the customer within the operational organization while making decisions. Please be aware, Sherwin-Williams recruiting team members will never request a candidate to provide a payment, ask for financial information, or sensitive personal information like national identification numbers, date of birth, or bank account numbers during the application process.Determine and implement supply chain strategies to achieve service goals.Make decisions with the voice of the customer in mind.Maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure supply chain targets are achieved.Manage appropriate levels of finished goods inventories produced by participating in the flash and takt processes.Drive continuous improvement by supporting current and future business needs.Develop and maintain the production plan with clear and timely communication to operations.Create and manage the finite schedule for assigned areas of responsibility and/or influence the work group assigned to do this task.Develop, plan, and implement finite scheduling and production inventory control training initiatives.Work with the buying/planning function to ensure finite schedules are maximizing service and accurate to raw material inventories.Collaborate with the demand planning group to strive for forecast accuracy.Provide data-based analysis when deciding appropriate problem resolution.Review MRP (Material Resource Planning) daily for unusual production to determine inventory quantities and levels.Manage finished good inventory to mitigate slow moving, non-moving inventory creation at distribution centers.Make decisions with freight costs and incremental production costs in mind to help the region achieve financial goals.Manage the training and on-boarding of new direct reports.Complete yearly reviews of employees.Participate in required safety training and promote a safety culture with all employees.Minimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in a Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations roleMust have one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teamsMust have three (3) years of work experience in a Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations role Preferred Qualifications: Have at least a bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or BusinessHave at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facilityExperience supporting a multi-shift 24/7 operationHave a APICS CertificationMES and QAD proficiencySAP Business Objects report writing proficiencyHave at least Six Sigma Green Belt certification
